Google is discontinuing its VPN service through Google One later this year due to low usage. The feature, which offered an "extra layer of online protection" for Android and iPhone devices, was a selling point for Google's premium cloud storage option. Eligible Pixel owners will still receive the five-year promise, but users on other Android handsets or iPhones will be redirected to third-party alternatives.
