Google takes its AI-powered Search experiment to the UK

Google is experimenting with AI-generated responses in its search results, raising concerns among publishers and website owners about potential loss of traffic. The AI answers will appear as longer-form responses at the top of the search engine results page (SERP), along with links and ads. Google assured that this change wouldn't affect click-through rates negatively and even claimed it led to more clicks on sources. Some users have already received positive feedback, but challenges may arise if Google adopts this as a standard practice.
