According to Bloomberg, the DOJ is set to ask Google to sell off Chrome.
The department will ask the judge, who ruled in August that Google illegally monopolized the search market, to require measures related to artificial intelligence and its Android smartphone operating system, according to people familiar with the plans.
This is without a doubt, surprising. All the reporting thus far out of the DOJ has been about the Google<->Apple deal to be the default on iPhones. Rarely have they even mentioned chrome. I am quite surprised the DOJ had such long-game thinking.
