Meta Builds AI search engine to cut Google, Bing reliance, the Information reports

The Information is reporting that Meta Platforms has been working on a search engine that crawls the web and to provide conversational AI results. The report does not really say what the scope of the search engine will be, but suggests it will replace Google and Bing as default search engine providers.

Last week Meta announced that it had entered into a licensing deal with Reuters that gives its platform access to its content for its AI chatbot.
